Dear Students and Families:
The health and safety of our students, families and school community is our priority. On Monday, March 23, 2020, Boys and Girls High School will be transitioning to remote learning in response to COVID-19. We understand that this transition will have a significant impact on our scholars, and I want to assure you that as a school community, we have collaborated and designed academic and social-emotional structures to support them through this process during this challenging time.
Our faculty is committed to providing an educational experience that will help students to remain on track academically until we are able to physically return to Boys and Girls High School. All teachers will be using the online educational platform, Google Classroom, to provide instruction on a daily basis. These active classes will be supported by their regular classroom teacher and allow them to view assignments, ask questions, receive timely and targeted feedback and help them to manage their time.
Beginning on Monday, March 23rd, all students will follow the schedule below.

Students will work independently on assignments and activities on their own time. Designated school support staff will be conducting daily check-ins with students and are available through 2:50 p.m. to provide support.

Please note that our support staff will be providing ongoing support to help students and families with this transition to remote learning and communicate expectations. We are asking that as you monitor your child’s progress, that you also ensure they are following the school’s contract for appropriate behavior on web enabled devices. Students will be able to login to Google Classroom directly or by using the link under “Students” on the school’s website at www.BoysandGirlsHS.org.
